Who can use ChéQin

You must be 18 or older, and be the parent or legal guardian of any child whose profile you create, to hold a ChéQin account. Children use ChéQin through profiles you create and control; they do not hold their own accounts.

You are responsible for what happens under your account, including what your children do in the app, and for keeping your sign-in details private.

Your family content

Chore photos, avatars, names and messages you and your children add stay yours. You give us permission to store and display that content for the purpose of running ChéQin for your family, and for nothing else.

Content you add is visible to the members of your own family. ChéQin has no public feed and no way to share content with strangers.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use ChéQin to:

• upload content that is unlawful, hateful, violent, sexual, or that bullies, threatens or harasses anyone;
• impersonate someone else, or add a child profile for a child you are not the parent or guardian of;
• attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service;
• use the companion chat to try to produce harmful, sexual or otherwise age-inappropriate content.

Safety and reporting

Companion chat is screened automatically, and parents can review a child's chat history, set a daily message limit, or turn the companion off entirely.

If you see something inappropriate — in companion chat or anywhere else in the app — press and hold the message and choose Report, or write to hello@cheqin.app. We review reports and will remove content and suspend accounts that breach these terms.

We may suspend or remove an account that repeatedly or seriously breaches these terms, without notice where the safety of a child is at stake.

Credits, eggs and companions

Credits are earned inside ChéQin by completing chores, and can be spent on eggs and companions. Credits have no cash value, cannot be bought with real money, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred out of the app.

Availability

We work to keep ChéQin running, but we do not promise it will always be available or error-free, and we may change or discontinue features. ChéQin is not a safety or supervision service and should not be relied on as one.

Ending your use

You can stop using ChéQin at any time and delete your account from Account → Delete account inside the app. Deleting your account permanently removes your data, as set out in the Privacy Policy.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, ChéQin is provided as-is, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
